Well, this didn't go as planned!
Really non of it did. But I'm still standing for anybody that is wondering!
As for the rest of the tiger challenge, I felt overall pretty disappointed about almost all my catagories other than my board break and my pool noodle fight, ironically!😂
I didn't break all the boards, but it felt like I could have. And I'm excited to try again soon!
My forms felt terrible, completely out of control, and shaky. Things I have been working on and felt like I'm getting the hang of it didn't flow or snap into place. And my nervousness felt just as much through the roof as ever before. I think that was the most disappointing thing. I was hoping to find myself all cool and collected this year after having done this a few times now. After all it's what everybody says, if you keep at it, it will get easier. And let me tell you, absolutely nothing about this felt any easier.
Reflecting today and chatting with Malinda about dropped weapons and such, I will say that while it didn't feel any easier, I recognize that dropping my weapon hadn't rattled me as much as it may have had in the past. Watching the video of it all happen makes me realize that, yes, while my form didn't impress me, I just picked up the weapon and kept going and finished it. I didn't consider this a thing to celebrate, but actually, it may be a good reminder that progress doesn't always show itself in flawlessness and perfection, and just because it's not the outcome we were hoping for doesn't mean things did not improve.
